Station 19 partnered with Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge - Rochester to design a women’s dormitory and community space that would meet their expanding facility needs while providing the security and resources that their residents and staff needed. For their site, they selected 3 acres of land that was purchased from the grounds of the neighboring Sisters of St Francis-Assisi.

The design of this new building reflects the values of MNTC by promoting wholeness, health, and recovery for women seeking freedom from chemical dependency. Constructed in a location that would make the most of the surrounding grounds, the building was a new 74-bed facility with 3,800 square feet of partial basements and mezzanines for storm shelters, storage and mechanical. A 100-seat chapel, dining room with a catered kitchen, fitness and art rooms, and administrative and counseling staff offices were built strategically into the design of the structure. Residential wings include shared lounges, classrooms, laundry facilities, prayer rooms, medication dispensing rooms, and supervising staff offices. The project also included the design of over 1/3 of a mile of landscaped walking paths, several patios, a lawn area, and a play area for visiting children.
