At Station 19, we are architects, designers, project managers, consultants, advocates, and teammates. We keep your budget and timeline on track while helping you build spaces that reflect your vision for ministry. It comes down to careful attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to your unique DNA. We take pride in our ability to provide start-to-finish leadership in the processes that depend on our experience. We value the intentional partnership we build with our clients to help make their vision a reality.

Nicole Thompson, President, ALA, NCARB

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design. From there I moved on to the University of Maryland to earn a Master’s in Architecture. These two majors have given me the blessing to enjoy this job. Working at Station 19 Architects since 1999, my favorite aspect is serving our clients by creating a facility that best meets their vision and mission. I really enjoy listening to their unique needs and getting to know them, because no two projects are the same! Things I like to do for fun are hanging with my family, taking photos, and being my kids’ number one fan by cheering them on in their sports activities. Finally, if I could travel anywhere in the world, I would love to go back to Paris, France, to sketch and drink café au lait.

Tom Peterson, Principal, ALA, NCARB

After studying Landscape Architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I continued my education at the University of Minnesota with an undergrad and graduate degree in Architecture. I landed at Station 19 Architects in 1993 and I’m still going strong! I love working with people and discovering how we create a good solution together to any situation. The call to serve the church, with work that can stand the test of time (and eternity) is truly a blessing! Beyond work, my hobbies include, walking around in the woods and city, and going swimming. I love to tinker with stuff which helps keep my 1920’s Bungalow home in shape! Out of anywhere in the world, I would love to return to England with my wife and son to visit gardens, museums, and restaurants.

Cristina Earley, Associate Principal, Interior Designer, CID

I attended Maryville University in St Louis and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. I had the privilege of being a part of Station 19 from 2007-2009 and was excited to rejoin this creative team in 2015. I love being able to help our clients find creative solutions and design spaces that will enhance their ministry. There is so much variety in how to accomplish this and in the work itself which makes each day a new and exciting journey. For fun, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, painting, and playing outside with my husband and three boys. If I could travel anywhere, I would visit Egypt to explore ancient structures and art, sample interesting foods, and ride a camel in the desert.

Dan Torgerson, Associate Principal, Architect, ALA, NCARB, LEED GA

I grew up in Andover, MN and I currently live in Ramsey, MN. I have a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota. I like to tell people the most rewarding part of working at Station 19 is that we get to help create buildings and spaces that make an eternal difference in people's lives. I'm passionate about figuring out how a building comes together and coordinating that with our teams and making sure the client's goals are met through the design. I have four children, and my free time consists of bringing them to their events and recently we've gotten into hiking and camping. My wife and I have a goal of visiting every state park in Minnesota...we have a ways to go to reach that goal.

Kelly Murphy, Associate Principal, Architect, ALA, NCARB

I went to the University of Minnesota and received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture, followed by a Master of Architecture. I began my time at Station 19 in 2014 and have been able to enjoy watching a project grow and evolve from the beginning to completion. This is one of my favorite parts of working here, along with the fact that no two days are the same. I am doing different tasks, working on different projects, and getting to experience a variety of challenges and opportunities. Beyond work, I love doing DIY projects and anything that is hands-on. I enjoy trying new recipes and restaurants, and lastly, I enjoy playing board games with my family and friends. If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to New Zealand for the scenery, and Spain for the architecture.

Mandy McCulley, Architect, ALA, NCARB

I earned my Bachelor’s in Architecture at Iowa State University in 2010 and joined Station 19 Architects in 2015. My favorite part of the job is the opportunity to build new and lasting relationships with clients and co-workers, and to see ministries flourish in spaces we work together to create. Outside of the office I enjoy knitting, trying to cook everything from scratch, and exploring new places and restaurants. My dream vacation would either be to travel through France, Germany, and Eastern Europe visiting cathedrals and art museums, or experience a completely different culture through a tour of China or maybe Thailand.

Gabriella Toquam, Architectural Designer

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Architecture at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND in 2021 followed by a Master of Architecture in the Spring of 2022. My favorite part of working at Station 19 is diving deep into each part of the holistic process of bringing an idea to a built design to create purposeful spaces for people to encounter Christ. I am incredibly grateful I get to explore this part of architecture while learning from such an amazing group of coworkers. Outside of the office, art has always been a large part of my life. I enjoy watercolor painting and pen and ink sketching. I also enjoy spending quality time with my friends whether that’s playing video games, board games, or doing a new activity around the Twin Cities. If I could travel anywhere, I would absolutely love to go back to Norway. I studied abroad there for a year in high school and am eager to revisit the place and the people I met. I would also love to take a trip to Japan to experience a distinctly different culture.

Jenna Patterson, Designer

I attended University of Wisconsin -Stout and received my BFA in Interior Design. My favorite part of working for Station 19 is the types of projects we get to work on. Faith is a huge aspect of my life, and I like that through my work I am able to help enhance a place for people to grow in their faith and to build God's kingdom. In my free time, I love to play volleyball, be on the lake up north, read or journal, and attend live music events! My top favorite thing though is going to Minnesota Twins games. If I could travel anywhere, I would go to Greece. It has always been a dream of mine to see the architecture in Santorini, visit the art and ruins in Athens that I studied in my college art history courses, and enjoy the clear blue waters along the coastline.

Cassie Warner, Administrative Assistant

My favorite part of working at Station 19 is the culture. Everyone on the team champions the vision, the process, and each other. And I love that my day job is part of empowering others’ visions of fostering meaningful connections through community and ministry. Everyone brings individual value, and everyone’s story matters. It’s awesome that our work gets to participate in providing spaces where those principles can be cultivated and experienced. In my free time I love music, movies, studying random subjects to learn something new, quality time with friends and taking a moment to sit down with a great cup of coffee (as a former barista of 14 years, it’s in my blood!). I also love reading classic literature - especially children's stories. They’re filled with so much more heart, depth, and expanse. They speak to something deep inside of us all, no matter our age. I would love to travel more. I prefer to experience places like a local. Somewhere I’d love the opportunity to go back to would be Venice. And if I had to choose a new destination, it’d probably be Ireland, or the Okinawan Delta.
