Lighthouse Church
Rosemount, MN
Remodel / Refresh
Size: 6,204 square feet
Completed: April 2019
Lighthouse Church was using an outdated building that did not reflect their vibrant ministry and mission. A poorly laid out parking lot caused confusion and collisions on Sunday mornings and a lack of handicap accessibility to their restrooms and Life Center made their space feel closed off and inhospitable.
Because of Station 19’s process of Strategic Master Planning, Lighthouse was able to lay out a roadmap for improvements that would reflect the church’s mission. Station 19 was able to refresh the church’s interior space, with community areas with new finishes, signage, furniture, and lighting in the main level lobby, hallways, and office area.
Updated, compelling graphics were added to the children’s check-in station that welcome parents and children to a secure education area. Once-tiny restrooms along with an old office space were converted into open, navigable restrooms. A handicap accessible ramp and stairway were added to the Life Center making fellowship possible for everyone in their community.
For the exterior, the parking lot was redesigned to allow for safer, more logical traffic flow.
Updated, refreshed, and well-designed community areas now allow the whole church to gather together at Lighthouse, providing them with the opportunity to plan for future improvements and growth while they continue building God’s Kingdom.
