Faith Covenant Church
Burnsville, MN
Interior Remodel
Size: 23,100 square foot
Completed: November 2018
Faith Covenant Church came to Station 19 with a building that reflected an antiquated, classroom-heavy ministry model. Tight hallways and hard-to-locate, limited hospitality areas prompted the church community to partner with Station 19 Architects. Together they would remodel their space with a focus on hospitality, way-finding, and classroom security.
Opening up underutilized classrooms and adding large windows created welcoming, cohesive gathering areas that feature coffee, guest services, new restrooms, and a clear path to the refreshed, distraction-free worship space.
The centralized children’s education is now defined by a secure check-in area that creates a safe learning environment for kids and peace of mind for parents so that everyone can grow deeper in faith.
New windows brighten the gathering area connecting those inside the walls of the church to the outdoors and greater community while a welcoming café and seating area serve as the perfect space for people to gather together and connect.
Throughout the project, Station 19 also collaborated with the leadership team and the church’s graphic designer to incorporate the church’s inspiring scripture and branded graphics in key locations throughout the welcome areas.
The result is light-filled and colorful spaces that reflect the “Gather, Grow & Go” expression of the Faith Covenant Family’s mission and vision.
