Centennial United Methodist Church faced the need for greater flexibility and flow within its gathering spaces, particularly in the preparation and serving of food. Additional gathering space was desired, along with a refreshed ambiance to enhance art displays within the room.

Station 19 Architects approached the challenge with ingenuity and pragmatism. By opening up an adjacent library space, they created a seamless expansion of the gathering area while retaining its original function. Existing gathering spaces were reimagined with the installation of a sliding glass wall, offering the versatility to divide the room into separate spaces without sacrificing its capacity for larger gatherings. The existing kitchen was transformed into a stylish serving area, complete with a striking wood focal wall, while a new kitchen was added in an adjacent space to meet the demands of food preparation.

The result is an inviting environment that is appealing to their modern churchgoers. With the improved Worship Center and classroom spaces to enhance their ministry programs, they now have a flexible, function, and timeless space with quality materials that are easy to maintain.
